I received a strange package in the mail a few days ago. On the back it said, “From my 6th graders. Open at own risk!” The handwriting was impeccable, and from that I knew that it was from my cousin Sam. He had his 6th graders make get well cards for me. I always knew he was sweet. There were a ton of them, and I’d like to share a few with you. Click on the cover to read the inside of the card. But be warned, I didn’t keep track of which inside went with which outside, so you can’t judge a card by its cover.
Lloyd's Mom says
Mr. Sommerer Cousin Lloyd, please tell Mr. Sommerer Cousin Sam that special red headed kids are great (I missed out) and that I got a real kick out of those get well cards. I’m sure downhill get well cards will make you better. Love Mom
Brad says

Peggy says
Awesome cards Cousin Lloyd! (I betcha still got all yer teeth)
Be sure to get yourself a “tea girl” of your own … and maybe a “grader girl”, a “planner girl”, a “desk washer girl” a “heart monitor girl”, a “salad girl” …. the possibilties are endless …
Beth says
Lloyd already has a whole pack of minions…he just needs to groom them for their specific tasks…
Kristi says
Cards like this almost make it all worth it, right? And these kids don’t even know you. The Legend of Lloyd lives on! So how was the first day back?
Lloyd says
First day back went alright. I kicked three students out for “raising my heart-rate”, mostly so they would be better tomorrow. I kicked them out with about 5 minutes left in class in each case, so they didn’t miss much.
Christina says
I’m hoping you aren’t having two girls either, hehe!
Lloyd says
Yeah, that was a good one. I like the writing downhill one a lot too.
Brad says
I always like walking south. Somehow it feels like going downhill.
Lauren says
I always like walking west. Or is it east? Where am I?
