On the off chance that my family checks this for photos of the weekend, I’m just going to post some pictures. Mind you, I don’t take very good pictures, so I can make no promises about quality.
The church is quite beautiful. It was built in the late 50’s, but looks very modern. The photo doesn’t do the brickwork justice.
They knew there would be a ton of people there so they set up the fellowship hall with a gigantic flat-screen t.v. I felt weird watching church on t.v. and not being in my bathrobe. Shoulda brought a bathrobe.
Mark (who works at the seminary in St. Louis) had a very funny story about visiting a pastor of a Chinese Lutheran church in downtown New York, but there’s no way I could re-create it without the use of sound. So, here he is telling it to my folks. (Trust me, it was wicked funny.)
I have NO pictures of my aunts and uncles! Stupid Lauren. The only time I would think to take a picture was during a very inappropriate time, like during church, or during church. (We had two services.)
Something very, very strange that we saw in Blue Hill was this object. Anyone want to hazard a guess about what it is?
