I like to buy multiples of things. Not everything – just certain things. Early in the marriage I had a thing for clocks, lamps and fans. I don’t need to buy the clocks and lamps anymore, but fans are difficult to pass up. Not counting utility fans like the vent fan over the stove, the fan in the furnace, etc., I have ….. I’m not telling. It’s embarrassing.
Anyway, when I went to buy my super pillow, this little guy was on clearance. I had several bouts of ‘put it down’ when it was on the shelves at Bed, Bath & Beyond this summer, but now he’s come home. It has floppy fabric blades, for cryin’ out loud! AND it folds up!!! I love you, little fan. I’ll use you once then put you on a shelf to get dusty.

That fan has two of my favorite things -- floppy blades (fun to put your fingers in when you’re bored) and clearance. I was at Old Navy over lunch today and got two fleece turtlenecks for 3.50 each!! They were too cheap not to buy! And they’re toasy warm. 😀 Perfect to wear while enjoying the floppy bladed fan!

Fleece yummies! I love fleece yummies! But you got me way beat. I thought I was doing well with my $16 specials from Sams. But I share them with Susana, so that makes them only $8, right?
Karla says
That works for me!!
Brad says
I was with you for one of your “put it down” experiences with this fan! I remember being conflicted about whether I should encourage you to get it or not.
It’s sometimes hard to tell if friends want you to talk them in to something, or to talk them out of it. We should have a signal… how about this: next time, if you want me to talk you in to it, touch your hand to your chin, but if you want me to talk you out of it, flap your arms and crow like a rooster.
Beth says
I love you little fan. You can come to my house and visit anytime.
Peggy says
YAY for “not putting it down” … Yay for fans!!!
Speaking of fans, whenever I’m in a garage & the garage door goes up, I pretend that I’m stepping onto a stage to sing and there are thousands of fans cheering … you all do that too, right?
Michele says
No garage -- no garage door -- bummer for me. It’s just not the same walking out onto the driveway.
PLEASE let me watch you next time Peggy -- I promise to cheer!
Peggy says
I don’t have a garage either … I do it at other people’s homes who do.
Lauren says
That is the funniest thing I’ve ever heard! I need a garage for that sole purpose!
Deanne says
I’m going to try it!
Peggy says
(stand right in front of the door with your head slightly down as it slowly goes up … and then step out with your head up and prepare to receive the cheers. WARNING: It’s very addicting.)
Deanne says
It’s going to add a whole new zing to my life, Peggy. Thanks for the great idea!
Annette says
I thought you were trying to keep warm???
Lauren says
But think how I’ll need to cool down come summertime.
Deborah says
I hear ya’. Nothing worse than back sweat.
Lauren says
I’d say butt sweat might be worse. 🙂
Peggy says
… or blood sweat.
