As I think I’ve said before, I’m not a big ice cream eater. In the summer, though, I have a hard time resisting Drumsticks – especially at a gas station. There it is, just sitting in the cooler by the cash register in its individual wrapper, tempting me with it’s chocolatey goodness. I usually regret eating it halfway through, but it’s a great first half.
Anyway, I saw these at Wal-Mart and got all excited:
I could make my own little ones! Pack ’em with Breyers and even sprinkle on some nuts if desired! But wait – just look at the insides of these:
Wrong! Wrong! Wrong! They are NOT fully lined in chocolate. Drumstick’s interior chocolate coating means there is absolutely no chance for the cone to get soggy. Grrrrr… waste of $2.07. Stupid Keebler elves.
Brad says
You could paint the inside of the cones with Magic Shell chocolate. Shoot, I would think anything would be better if it were painted with chocolate. Mmm… Chocolate…
And now that I’ve googled Magic Shell, HERE is a webpage that tells you how to make it. There is even the suggestion of infusing your chocolate coating with some flavoring like BACON(?) Mmmm… Bacon…

Oh… Brad, that sounds disgusting!

hey—where’d my comment go?

My gas station counter weakness is a Mounds. I can hardly ever resist…especially since most places only carry Almond Joy, and those just won’t do.
Brad says
My checkout compulsion is Tic-Tacs. I like the orange ones. I eat them three or four at a time and crunch them. The container doesn’t last very long.

Now you’re just trying to bump up your total number of comments. It’ll never work.
