I didn’t take a before, and there’s no after yet, so you just get the &. It was a productive day in Mrs. Sommerer’s room, mostly because I finally tackled my cupboards. I’ve spent the past two years thinking, “I’m just not going get around to it this time,” and almost said the same thing today – then something fell on my head. So I took all the junk out and am putting half of it back in with containers and labels, and the other half is going to live on a nice farm where it can run in the sunshine and be free. (wink wink)
Speaking of things on heads, Lloyd has been working like a dog at school installing video projectors in the classrooms. (He has help – he’s not a one-man one-man-and-his-awesome-wife show this time.) He was crawling around in the attic of one of the portable classrooms and smacked his head on some pointy nails. It’s too bad I can’t get a good picture of it, but you should all comfort him with sweet words.
Christina says
Silly brother, you are not necessarilly a hammer.
Lloyd says
I was more like an anti-hammer. Maybe that could be my super-hero name.
Brad says
I hope you didn’t get tetanus, Lloyd, because if you did you’ll die. But then you wouldn’t have to teach.
(That’s comforting, isn’t it?)
Lloyd says
Death is light as a feather, duty is heavy as a mountain
Beth says
Lauren -- it’s looking clearner and more organized already. Even at just the &.

You could pick up a hard hat at a yard sale, an auction, or a pawn shop for when you do construction.
Deanne says
ooof! don’t do that again!
Annette says
Lloyd, surely there are football helmets somewhere at school. My boys used to wear football helmets when they went to stir up bats in my parents attic because they feared the nails more than the venomous vampire bite.
Lloyd says
I should have done that.
Annette says

I had forgotten you had cupboards 🙂
Really people, while I’m sure photos are archived somewhere, Lauren has a beautiful room for her children to enjoy.
Peggy says
Thank you Lauren … I love to hear that it took you 2 years to get around to this project! It makes me jump for joy at the excitment I’m gonna feel next summer when I finally get around to my projects. Whew--that jump was my exercise for the day (pant, pant)--alright!
Peggy says
Feel better Lloyd!!! Drink lots of fluids — hey, drink them standing on your head & Lauren can take pictures if they shoot out of the holes in your head … that’d be awesome!
Patrick says
If only you were younger, you wouldn’t have even felt them there nails …

Lauren says
Ouch! Welcome, Patrick!
Deanne says
OK, I’m totally grossed out… but of course I read the whole thing!
Lloyd's Mom says
You need those bicycle helmets with the lights you rigged up to go caving with. To bad they are in my basement and not in yours. Hope you feel better soon.
Lloyd says
Yeah, those were the best thing ever. But you have more caves near your basement, so they are probably in the right place. I have a lot of holes and bumps and bruises now. But they are all starting to fade (on me and in my memory) and all that is left is how terribly, terribly hot it was.
