Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween, everyone!  I hope your day (if you are around children) is sane, and your night is….. well, also sane.  I’ve been trying to straighten up our house a little bit since Annette and Kate (and John, I think) are going to come over to see the Trick-or-Treaters from the CDC that visit here.  I’ve got 144 Fun-Dips to eat pass out, so I hope we have a good crowd.  I haven’t cleaned up the front steps, but all those cobwebs and dried leaves will just make it feel extra-spooky.

Boo!

I was stuck for jack-o-lantern ideas, so we’re going with a classic face and an ‘I-was-distracted-watching-The-Office-so-it’s-an-atom-like’ thing.  I think they’ll do just fine.  I also roasted the seeds, and I’m trying not to eat them all right now.  That’s not going well.

We have Parent Conference Day today. On the plus side, that means no kids, so it won’t be crazy. But on the minus side, there’s no kids, so it won’t be fun. Maybe I should take a fake knife and blood and randomly “attack” a co-worker during conferences. Parents would like that… wouldn’t they?

I sent this to my co-workers. It will be helpful today because of all the parents coming in. I had my suspicions about some of them yesterday…

No, don’t they eat fingers with their popcorn?

Also, sis, that atom pumpkin in slightly reminiscent of Charlie Brown’s Halloween costume -- the one with all the holes cut in it!

Thanks! It turns out that cutting the connecting lines severely weakened it’s structural integrity after a day of sitting around. I was afraid to put the top on it.
