Ha! Lauren’s not the only one around here who can make crap prototype. We have 6 different schedules that get used fairly frequently (3 for middle school and 3 for high school). And a few others that we like to throw in every-so-often just to mess with the kids. It takes me at least until Christmas to have a clue about when classes start and end.
Sure, I could have solved this problem with a trip to the photocopier and a few thumb-tacks, but Steve Jobs wouldn’t approve of that. I give you iLloyd’s first iPhone app…
It picks the schedule based on the day and you can set it to default to either the Middle School or High School schedule. It will work in browsers and lesser phones, so I guess parents and other teachers might also find it useful. It also makes toast. Take that Sambo.
Geek Info: Uses iUI library for the iPhone bits and some Python to set the correct schedule and cookies (yummy, yummy cookies).

I wish I could read Greek, I mean Geek. Oh, why bother, it’s the same to me.

If I were stranded on a desert island because I went on a three hour tour, I wouldn’t mind having you there. I’d give you a nickname like “Professor” or something. You could make a helicopter out of coconuts. Or you could just call for help on your phone.
Lauren says
Who are we kidding? That phone doesn’t get good reception anywhere.
Lloyd says
No so. There are approximately 10,000 AT&T cell towers in the US, and I get great reception within about 50 feet of any of them.
Peggy says
HA!!!
christina says
hey, you got 4 bars at the waterfall! I have a picture to prove it.
Lloyd says
Just thinking about that makes me want to build a dam. It’s too bad we can’t do that at Christmas.
Cousin Sam says
Yea, the websites back to normal. Thank you iLloyd. It needs a catchy name… iOneofSixSchedulesatLincolnLutheranHigh doesn’t seems to roll off the tongue.
Peggy says
iPeggy to iLloyd…Did you take your protein pills & put your helmet on? Are you floating in the most a peculiar way…do the stars look very different, today?
Cousin Sam says
I looked at the source code- It’s beautiful man. I thought you did good Filosofy work, this is even better. I’m going to had it in as my Filosofy of Learnificating.
Lloyd says
I don’t think it matters what you turn in if it’s going to be used for a Philosophy of Edumecation.
Brady G. says
I don’t get it.
Lauren says
There are so many ‘its’ here -- which one? The app? Having so many crazy schedules? Lloyd? Sam? Their ‘sense of humor’? No one blames you, Brady.
