My parent sent us a goodie box for Christmas, and inside was a cute little box with a note from my Dad – “Open now.” (Always a good note to put on a gift.) Inside was a very cool manger stamp to use at the preschool. The children have enjoyed it very much! Here is a small sampling of their work:
“There’s two shepherds and Mary and Joseph and an angel. And the sheep. And Baby Jesus.”
“I made Mary and Joseph. These are the cows. There’s a building and the sun.” In both of these examples, I love the animals best. Of course, they aren’t all so detailed… or historically accurate, for that matter.
“I wrote some words. It says Baby Jesus was sitting in a cradle. There was a knife and monster that bite Joseph. I wanted to make it scary.”
Mission accomplished.
