I’ve written to a company for help. It’s not the first time – once I wrote to ask to buy some replacement part for my train teakettle, and the kind people sent me two parts for free. This time, though, I’m willing to pay.
Dear Baker’s Edge Brownie Pan makers,
I am a big, big fan of your product. I have sung it’s praises extensively to all my friends, and have purchased several as gifts. It’s great for brownies, but I especially love it for lasagna. Sheer genius.
Sooooo….. If I seriously overbaked some brownies, warned my husband not to dig into them with the spatula but he’s boneheaded and did it anyway, is there a place where I can purchase a replacement spatula?
Thanks for any information you can provide.

I really want this spatula. I’ve looked at the kitchen stores and searched the web, but no dice.
Did you send that picture along with your email?
Yes. 😀
Have you tried Spatula City?

That. was. awesome.
Is there a Spoon City? Is there, is there, is there?
What spatula? Did one come with the pan?
Now I see the spatula in the picture. My eyes weren’t quite open before.
Next time I would suggest waking up before reading your daily blogs!
I still don’t know why the pan company is responsible for replacing the spatula.

Dang…they MUST have been some seriously burned brownies!! But at least now it looks like you have a nice weapon in case anyone breaks into your house.
(Why was this spatula so special? Can we see the broken piece so we can ooo & aaaa?)
Watch out Llyod because your angry wife now has an awesome prison shiv!
That comment was by Arron -- you can tell because he mis-spelled Lloyd again. 😉
In my defense, Lauren distinctly did not say not to try to pry the rock hard brownies out of the pan, she merely mentioned that they were rock hard.
I think we had to soak them to get them out.
Did you soak them with milk so you can eat them with a spoon?
She’s a smart one, that Kiwe!
What happened to metal spatulas?
They scratch the protective coating, you barbarian.
Protective coating? Is that the black stuff on the pans? I just thought it was burnt grease.
Seriously Curt! What planet are you from?
What??? I like metal spatulas cause they don’t melt. You can’t find them anymore. So I just use my grill spatula in the kitchen. I still use the Gardian cast iron pots and pans on occasion.
Cast iron is the warrior of the kitchen!
True dat!
Keep using your metal spatulas Curt…(don’t listen to Michele, she doesn’t even coook)
I just “got” the title of your post! That’s a hoot!
