Gadget

Beth hosted a Pampered Chef party tonight, and just in case she wants to post about it, I won’t say too much. It was great to see Stephannie (and Oliver!) and Jill there (and Tammy, too, but I don’t know if she reads this or not). Annette was invited, but she had some ‘birthday’ thing with her nephew, so she missed out.

Beth served margaritas, and let’s just say that liquor and shopping can be a dangerous combination. It was fun looking through the catalog at all the stuff. For the most part, I treasure my knife over most of the kitchen gadgets there, but there were parts of the lady’s presentation that set the ol’ gears a-turnin’. (Microwaves and cake, microwaves and chicken… hmmmm…. chicken and cake?) Anyway, I ordered a little sheet pan that ought to keep me happy.

I’d write more, but I’m pretty wiped out.

Deborah, you should tell your butt sweat story so people know why yesterday’s comment was so funny.

Another tiny pan!

When I lived in Seattle, I was the token male for my friend’s Pampered Chef parties. My role was to eat the samples and tell everyone how good they tasted. It was awesome!

“Discover the chef in you” so it’s an exorcism?

So. . . The butt sweat story is incredibly long, so I’ll try to shorten it up. I took a summer grad school class quite a few years ago and Lauren and Lloyd were gracious enough to house me. The class was about Nebraska authors. We spent 2 weeks in the middle of July walking around Nebraska, visiting where these authors lived and wrote about. It was incredibly hot, and my back sweats a lot, so every day I would come home with a wet back and butt. One of our assignments for the class was to write a poem of our experience. So Lauren helped (actually Lauren came up with the whole thing) me write a poem about butt sweat. I’ll have to see if I can find it this weekend. That’s all I have to say about that.
