Ladies and Gentleman, this weekend I willingly, nay – gleefully – purchased something entirely foolish.
While questing for the chair for the classroom I visited a local used furniture store that has all kinds of weird stuff. They had a table of super-cheap (i.e. junk) appliances that were laughable in how poorly made they were. I absolutely couldn’t resist the KitchenWorthy Bread Maker, though. They had it for $9.95!!!! Looking at it closely, it has no motor at all – it’s just a heating element inside a metal box inside a plastic box. It has no instructions for how to actually make bread, or any real instructions for how to use it. I’m going to experiment with the five-minutes-a-day recipes and see if I can get it to work. (It doesn’t get truly hot enough to make a good crust, but it’s worth it for the nights of experimentation.
How bad is this thing? If you search for it, they are sold in 4-packs. You can also get your promotional logo on them. Should I get some with LloydandLauren.com on them?
