As many of you know, Lloyd subscribes to the ‘uniform’ school of thought for dressing for school. Every day, same thing – blue shirt, neutral pants, tie. Blue shirt, neutral pants, tie. Easy-peasy, no thought required. He was running low on short-sleved shirts, though, so we needed to buy more. (He’s tough on shirts.)
Well, in Omaha we ran into a bit of a snag. They were having some awesome sales, but the great deals on shirts must have really appealed to all the size 15 1/2 neck sizes in all of eastern Nebraska, because there were no blue shirts left (except for one long-sleeved one).
Lloyd didn’t bat an eye. He said, “Well, what if I didn’t wear blue?”
What?? I had to sit down – I felt lightheaded. No blue? What about consistency? My world keeps collapsing inwardly.
So, we looked for every other solid 15 1/2 shirt they had, and now he has a candy-colored closet. It’s actually very nice, and it’ll make laundry day a little more cheerful, too.
