Peggy commented on Lincoln Lutheran’s cool “LL” logo yesterday, which reminded me of the coolest thing I have ever created in the history of my personal coolness…. which Lloyd did not appreciate.
When we were first married I figured out that his entire name could be written inside a rectangle. I believe I showed it to him well over a hundred times. In fact, I believe I went so far as to ask someone with a scroll saw to cut one out of a rectangle of wood for him, like a puzzle. That’s love and dedication – to a design, that is.
Lloyd did not care, and that rectangle never made it out of Maryland.
Where is it, Lloyd? Huh? Where is it?
Well, while beginning this post I was all “Lloyd’s name is the only name in the world you can do this with”. Um, a little doodling has proved me wrong.
Brad says
Lauren, your name is totally made for flipping upside down.
Cool! A quick google search revealed the name of what I’m talking about: and ambigram. I even found your name:

It’s beautiful! 🙂 Lloyd actually made one of those for me (similar, but not the same) shortly after I gave him the puzzle, and I forgot all about it. I guess my angry subconscious blocked it. Chill out, subconscious.
Deanne says
Your doodles are the best. Even if Lloyd doesn’t appreciate his name doodled. And made into a puzzle.
Beth says
Ooo! Ooo! Do mine next! 😀
Peggy says
Yea, me too, me too…I’m pretty sure my name is the standard rectangular if you use all capitals, but I’d rather have a circular name. You can do it!
(hehe…Brad’s a square!)
Kristi says
Lauren, your name will fit. Just put the n where the e was. Place the e inside the n. Does that make any sense at all?
Lloyd says
That’s what I suggested too, but she thinks it looks like Laurne then.
CousinSam says
In the second picture, it looks like “brad” is wearing a bro.
Christina says
Lauren,
