But not the reason for it – Happy Birthday, Jesus!
We are currently experiencing a little ol’ blizzard. We all got up and got dressed for church, Lloyd and I started to shovel out and he said, “Forget it – we’re walking. Even if we get out of the driveway we’ll get stuck at some intersection.” We went in to get Brad, but fortunately Lloyd checked the church’s website first and found out that services had been canceled. The actual snow isn’t so bad, it’s the ice underneath and the drifts – the drifts are killer. Bare ground in a few spots and knee-high drifts in others. Not fun.
Lloyd called his folks to tell them Merry Christmas, and don’t let me forget to send a Christmas card to AT&T for their stellar service in our area. He still has to stand outside to use his phone. Awesome.
So, we stayed home. Brad went to his parents for the day, and we bowed out to let the Royuks have some family time and also to let me sleep and sleep and sleep. (I think I might be getting sick. Yay.) Before the nap, though, we cooked up some fantastic crab legs that my sister Keren shipped from Alaska. Thank you, Keren! You made Lloyd’s Christmas!!!
