I’ve read about people who keep ‘lists’ on their refrigerator and when they run out of something, they mark it on the ‘list’. Well, it sounds like science fiction talk to me, but I decided to try it.
Lloyd and I do our grocery shopping on Sundays, and usually buy the exact same things every week. We really don’t need to have a list, but there have been the occasional head-slapping moments upon returning home when I realize I forgot to buy sugar, or that we’ve brought home yet another box of butter to add to the three boxes already in the freezer.
I must admit, this list isn’t complete, but it’s a good start. We circle the store (Wal-Mart), starting at toiletries, moving to house stuff (light bulbs/repair stuff), then over to groceries – like clockwork every week. I’m sure after the first time we actually remember to take it along to the store use it we’ll realize that it needs more blank spaces for fill-ins. I must admit, I was more excited to choose the fonts and make them silly.
Brad says
Heh… I like the list.
Beth says
I’m a little concerned that Lloyd has dragged you into the Ozark tradition of actually eating vittles.
Peggy says
Hehe…I love vittles! (that’s just any food right?)
But what’s wakee juice? OJ?
(I love all the different kinds of lists pictured at the top…is there a list with a Voodoo Mama Juju theme?)
Lauren says
Yeah, vittles just means food, but I felt weird writing ‘road kill’ for ‘meat’.
‘Wakee juice’ is coffee. 🙂
Peggy says
Thanks! And did you watch Voodoo Mama Juju last night? It cracked me up!
Lauren says
I missed it, but thank goodness for the internet!
Peggy says
Actuall it was a repeat, but I missed it the 1st time around.
Very funny.
Kristi says
Bland donuts? What? No sprinkles???
Lloyd says
Cross referencing Cletus’s list with the other lists seems to indicate that “Bland Donuts” are actually Bagels.
Amy says
@_@ this is awesome!!!! Brilliant!!
