Lo, I am aged….

…. and my bones, they are brittle.

Hitting the big 4-0 made me decide to start taking calcium, when it’s probably way too late in the game to do anything about bone loss. I’m not super-concerned about it, since (thank you, school job that provides milk) I have at least 3 – 4 servings of milk a day. Still, it’s a good idea to supplement.

I bought this giant bottle of slightly-flavored chalky tablets. I was really hoping for the burst of flavor you get from Vitamin C tablets, but these are not those. You finish one and think, “Yeah, that could have been cherry……maybe.”

90 tablets? We should be done by Halloween.

I’ve decided Lloyd has to eat them, too, and my mood decides his flavor.

Happy with Lloyd? He may have orange or cherry.

Still has that stupid long hair? He must eat grape.

We’re running low on grape.

Those tablets all say “C4”. Are you sure you aren’t eating explosives?

I drink alot of milk too…ALOT…so I don’t supplement…frankly because I hate taking stuff & I take enough stuff right now. But now I feel bad for not supplementing…& for not flaxing…and for not vaccumming every day…this goes on & on & on.

There’s some chocolate stuff that my friend takes. It’s like eating a little Godiva. You might try that.

I drink lattes with the excuse that it give me a daily allowance of milk. But, if forced into a supplement, I would go for the chocolate -- I can’t stand the chalky chewable things, no matter what the flavor. (Might as well eat chalk.)

Caltrate is good because it has Vitamin D with it. The calcium doesn’t help unless you get a good dose of Vitamin D, especially in the winter.
I just get the big pills and swallow them whole. EVERYONE should supplement with calcium from an early age or you’ll have more back pain, etc later. Keep it up!

Not only do I take calcium daily, but I’ve already had a bone density test. It’s really easy, but I felt like an old lady. I requested the test because I’ve been on a bunch meds for extended periods of time that interfere with calcium absorption.

The more you know… (insert chime here)
