‘Way back afore the Steve Jobs and that other guy made home computers so dad-gum commonplace, my brother Phil used to work for a sign company. He had an impressive knowledge of fonts that was nearly god-like to me. He could just look at stuff and tell you the font: “That’s Monotype Corsiva. That’s Palatino. That’s Geneva. That’s some bad handwriting – I think it’s yours, Lauren.”
So now in the age of computers, I get it. If you’re exposed to a bunch of different fonts, you become familiar with them. While I can only reliably identify Arial and Comic Cans, I love, love, love Papyrus. It’s so jaggedy-looking and beautiful. Anything written with it looks important and serious and soul-soothing.
Well, maybe not everything.
Stop using my font on your trailer, Outdoor Solutions. I do not find it worthy.

I love Papyrus! It’s great for Religion Class worksheets. It’s very Bible-y.
I select a different font each year for all my room signage at school. My Favored Font this year is Tempus Sans ITC. I don’t like it much when it’s small, but it’s nice when using large font sizes.

I use Bookman Old Style. Because the ‘o’s are very round and it pleases me.
Also, that is not Harold’s summer place. His is Boulder Works. http://www.boulderworks.com/Welcome.html

When I’m doing something whimsical, I like to use Cool Dots. It looks fun and every letter that needs a dot is dotted with a heart. Hehehe I also like Catholic School Girl.
I have about 500 fonts loaded onto my work pc. Yes, it’s overkill, but it’s fun!

My current favorite is Tahoma. I think Marker Felt is fun, too.
I just read that Century Gothic uses the least amount of ink when printing. Some colleges are encouraging their departments to use that because it can save them thousands of dollars in an academic year.

Dang, I feel really out of it…I’m not fontashionable!!

Guys, I made your fonts into links so I can view their beauty whenever needed. Hope you don’t mind.

Thanks! That saves me from having to figure that out.
