I used to be a good speller. Now – not. There are always words I’ve questioned when writing them – cereal and license come to mind. (Ceareal and lisence) ‘Weird’ looks wrong to me no matter how I spell it.
Once while helping with a presentation, I was writing our brainstorming ideas on a giant tablet and realized I didn’t know how to spell curriculum…. in front of bunch of teachers. Oops. Now, I have a pirate chant that helps with that (say it in a pirate-y voice) – “See you! Arr arr, I see you, El you em!”
I’m sure there are more I have trouble with, and I’ll add them as I remember them.

Did you know that the National Spelling Bee was this week? Did you also hear about the contestant who had to spell “catastrophe”? Yes, the word was catastrophe. The contestant spelled “bp”.

Oh dear, this is how it all starts…1st you can’t recall how to spell a word…the next thing you know, you can’t even recall the word. There’s a term for that--Lethologica. My name is Peggy & I have lethologica.
(of course I couldn’t recall the word for when you can’t remember a word, so while looking for it on the internet, I found this:

I read your last comment first and clicked on the link, so I was very, very confused as to why you were so fond of Malaysian easy listening.
