I found this video via Neatorama. It’s very touching and I thought I’d share. Be prepared for the length, though – it’s about five minutes long. And once you suspend disbelief and embrace the fact that it’s a love story between an archeologist and a mummy, it’s quite enchanting…. and makes me cry.
Ladies and Gentleman, “The Curse” by Josh Ritter.
The chords, for any of you who want to play along, are F, Dm, Am, C.
It reminds me of The Highlander and the song “Who Wants to Live Forever?”

What an adorable mummy…I LOVE his feet!
This song immediatley reminded me of the saddest song ever written:

Are you people trying to make me cry?
So, in the end, was SHE cursed?
Good question.
I like how her streaks of gray hair and cane are the same as the sarcough… sarcoff… coffin.
Try singing along to “Don’t Blink” (Kenny Chesney) as if you’re singing it to your son the day before he turns one year old. That’ll teach me.
