I’m a big fan of Promise Checks – we’ve used them for years. And by ‘big fan’ I mean that I’m too lazy to order checks from anywhere else. I order them three boxes at a time and they last for nearly a decade, I believe. The only problem with that is that I can never remember what font to choose for the new batch. I think I’m ordering the same as last time, then they arrive and our names and address looks different and wrong. I grumble for a few months, then eventually forget that it is new and different, come to accept it, then love it, then order the next batch and get it wrong again.
The style I order is called the “He is” series. I like them because they are very artsy and bold. You can see all three designs in the series here.
I especially like Promise Checks because you can enter your own personal line above your signature.
I did.

How about “New Font: Check”

The last time I ordered checks I wanted something different. (I also like the sets that have more patterns.) So, I got Sesame Street -- 8 designs! I can’t help but grin when I write a check for a hair cut with Bert and Ernie on it -- have you noticed their hair? And then there was the time I wrote a check for taxes with The Count on it. Any opportunity to giggle is worth it.

Write me a check, and I WILL enjoy your money!

Dang, I don’t have fancy checks. Never have. Just the plainest thing they offer…what’s up with that? Great..now I’ll spend the day looking for a better check. If I did have a saying on my check, it would be something like: “If you’re reading this, make a face at the person next to you.”

I haven’t bought checks in years. Oh, I’ve ordered them, but since I work at a bank, I don’t have to buy them. Sometimes I see checks from outside printing companies and think about ordering those, but then I remember I have to pay for them and quickly go back to being happy with what I have.
My current checks have the Cubs logo on them. 🙂

I think you should change to Blackhawks!
Karla says
Peggy, my ringtone on my phone is currently Chelsea Dagger, the song they play at the UC when the Hawks score a goal. But since the Blackhawks can have a shorter drought between championships than the Cubs, maybe I should consider getting different checks.

There’s no team that I would rather have ahead of the Cardinals.

Meh.
