Happy Father’s Day to our Dads!
Happy Birthday, Charlie!
Lloyd had some Republican thing again today (he should really see a doctor about that), so I ran a bunch of errands. Hooray for shopping in Lincoln!
All the new construction that’s been going up the last couple of years has really followed a Frank Lloyd Wright-ish style. That’s probably not the right term, but when I look at it I think Arts and Crafts, and I ain’t talkin’ popsicle sticks and Elmer’s.
This is a place that’s going up in South Lincoln. Nothing’s in it yet, but by the look of the sculpture it might be selling those sticks you put in scented oil to freshen a room. Maybe when this thing is functional it will freshen the whole state!
I also took pictures of the temperature in the car and the time so I could have a detailed report for Kristi about how parking in the shade can cool down the car, but a) I lost interest and 2) it was overcast all day so it wouldn’t have been as accurate* as a sunny day.
*Why does ‘accurate’ have two c’s? I thought two c’s in a row made the k-s sound, as in ‘success’. Stupid English language.

That tower looks sort of like a lighthouse. Maybe it’s going to be the new headquarters for the Nebraska Navy.

That sculpture does look remarkably like those stinky pot things.
Nobody would just create something like that for no reason. Something that ugly has got to be functional, right?
Kristi says
Thanks for trying.

Or maybe they’re sparklers…awesome giant sparklers! You must light them Lauren…and don’t forget your camera!

My first thought was that they were pick-up sticks. Is it obvious that I have kids?

It sort of looks like spaghetti when I first drop it into the boiling water.
