Lloyd has a new life skill – sewing a button on his shirt. He’s been missing a button on one of his Hawaiian shirts for quite some time now, and it was time to cover his belly.
He asked me to do it, but I saw this as an opportunity to decrease his dependency on others. He did wonderfully well. With his newbie skills he did it much neater than I could, and I’ve sewn two buttons in my day.

Just think – he can make meatloaf, he can do laundry, now he can sew. He’ll make someone a lovely wife.

Hrumph, As I recall (and I think Brad can back me up on this) when I first asked, I asked you to show me how to sew on a button. Also, I had no idea my hands were so pretty.

Lovely hands, like they belong to an angel! unlike mine that are wrinkled and knarly from years of hard work.

That movie is interesting. Is that the correct way to sew a button on? I’ve tried it myself, and I do most of those same things, but if a little is good, more must be better, right? I looped through each pair of holes way more than three times.

If I click anywhere on your webpage, my computer says “click!”. It’s fun! “click!” “click!” “click!”
Lloyd says
Are you sure Denis isn’t hiding in the closet saying “click”?

Of all the things I’m a master at (oops, my nose just grew a few inches), sewing is not one of them. But I do sew on buttons…but I don’t do that wrapping around under the button thing. And I too loop thru the holes a bunch of times. I suppose if the manufacturers would just do that, we wouldn’t have buttons fall off in the first place, huh?
Good job LLoyd!

Martha Stewart better watch out. You’re going to give her a run for her money yet.
