Journal

Lloyd’s parents are up for the weekend so that we can go to the northern Sommerer Family reunion on Sunday. I’ve been working a long week, so Lloyd really whipped the house into shape. He cleaned, did laundry, and best of all – made meatloaf for dinner! He was the finest example of husband and son that anyone could ask for.

I, of course, slaved over desert. In fact, I made it two minutes after dinner was over, when they were talking about all the weird animals that Lloyd’s Grandma used to cook – squirrel, rabbit, pigeon. Hearing this list, of course I thought, “Mmmm….. ice cream cake.” I dashed over to DQ and nabbed a cake.

Sorry for upstaging you in presentation, Lloyd, but you definitely won in the taste department.

Ice cream in front, meatloaf in the back. Just like a mullet.
