I wish I knew who created this graphic*. I would love to give them credit. I saw it on flickr a few weeks ago and spent a fair amount of time reliving childhood memories. Oh those happy Saturday mornings. My sister and I would wake up early and I would bring all of my stuffed animals into the living room. Christina would bring in her dolls.
There were two things that I didn’t realize at the time. (1) Hanna-Barbera made a whole lot of the cartoons that I watched and (2) most of them were complete rewrites of previous hits. Click on the image below to see every Hanna-Barbera (main) character ever created. It’s a really huge image. If it comes up small for you when it opens by itself, click on it again. That will teach it.
Eventually, it got too unwieldy to bring all the dolls and stuffed animals into the living room. We each had a couple of favorites and we would rotate one or two of the others in each week. Presumably they filled the others in when they returned to the room.
*um, I guess it says on the graphic. It was Juan Pablo Bravo.

Wednesday morning is a bad day for me to be able to look at that graphic. In fact, I won’t have much free time at all today. 🙁
I do remember that I didn’t like Hanna-Barbera cartoons much though. I’ll have to look and see if I’m remembering correctly…

Didn’t like Hanna-Barbera cartoons much?
I was actually surprised they did most of these. When I think about Hanna-Barbers I think about the Laff-A-Lympics characters that I really didn’t like a lot.

I am not a friend to Smurfs.

Huh, I was just going to say that I don’t really remember watching cartoons, although I know I did, but I looked at that and some of them look very familiar. Who could forget Captain Caaaavveeemaaaaaaaannnn? My grandparents had a stubby whiffle bat that we would carry around their house and yell that. I bet that was a big treat for them to hear endlessly.

When I click, only a white, empty box comes up. What’s up with that.
I loved cartoons…I still do.
When I was a kid I watched all the classics (Road Runner, Flintstones, Bugs Bunny) & Scooby Doo, The Archies, H.R. Puffinstuff,
dang…I can’t remember very many either…I NEED THAT GRAPHIC!

Saturday morning was great! It was the only time we could sit in “Dad’s” chair, and we both fit! Then after the good cartoons were over we would use the couch cushions to build forts!
