Let me say that again (I’m counting the title as the first time): We have great students at Lincoln Lutheran (note the new website). For Homecoming, each class decorates a hallway with a theme picked by the Student Council. I’m not exactly sure what theme they actually chose, but the upshot of it was that the hallways were each decorated like a different movie, and the dance had a red carpet leading into it.
This particular hallway was Pirates of the Caribbean, and they hung a spider right at eye level, right in the middle of the hallway. I noticed this right away, and immediately (a) started a betting pool on how long it would remain hanging there and (b) chose “less than 12 seconds” in the betting pool.
I was amazed that it was still there after 1st period started. And again after 2nd period. Then at the end of Tuesday (we didn’t have school Monday). By Friday, I was no longer amazed –just really, really impressed.

I was just thinking about how Pirates of the Caribbean was getting to be an old movie. I expect it won’t be too long before the upcoming middle school kids don’t know it as well.

I believe I watched that movie, and have no recollection of spiders in it.
If I had gone to your school and my locker was by that spider, I would have called in sick the whole week. jibblie

Oh my gosh…I would so love to do a hallway! That is right up my alley! Way to go LL students!
Do you have any other pictures of different movies/halls?
Lloyd says
It didn’t occur to me to take pictures of the other hallways.
Lloyd says
I did just notice (we were uploading videos from video editing class to youtube) that the Student Council put this video up announcing the competition.
Peggy says
EXCELLENT!!! But where’s the shots of the actual hallways? 🙁
You’re students are so cool! Please keep us updated as to who wins.
Lloyd says
I don’t know if anyone took shots of the hallways. We vote on them on Monday before the tape starts coming off of the walls.
