Well, I’ve solved my inability to make crust:
Lloyd had to take snacks to his concert last week so I made mini apple pies using a mini muffin tin, and pre-made pie crust was the way to go. I bought more than I need, though, and made this little snack out of it. I liked it so much I used up the rest of the crust!
This is not my invention, but whoever came up with it was thinking of me and my deep love of slicing apples. Thank you, inventor. I didn’t get you anything.
1. Peel and slice apples. Just let me do it – I like it so much.
2. Roll the crust out and then take a rolling pin to it so it looks less factory-made, you sneaky devil. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar on top, then use your gross veiny hand to lay the slices around in a non-perfect circle. (People will totally believe you made that crust, I’m telling you!)
3. Then – this is the best part – grate some frozen butter over the whole thing. You could just dab some regular butter around, but come on! This might be the only time in your life someone tells you to do something so zany!
4. More cinnamon sugar on top, and bake for 20-25 minutes at 400 or 425, depending on how cooled down your oven is from making frozen pizza. If the edges get dark, do the foil strip thing.
After it cools, cut into wedges like a pizza and eat! In my opinion, this is better the second day, which is good – I have to take this somewhere tomorrow.
I hope they ask if the butter was hand-grated. (fingers crossed)
