…it’s worth overdoing.
Grrrrrrr.
We don’t entertain at all, thereby I am terrible at doing it. The only food that’s around here is stuff Lloyd and I eat, and very little at that. (Remember, I’m cleaning out cupboards.) When I found out Lloyd’s family was coming to visit last weekend, I did a quick panic shopping trip to re-stock the cupboards As I was doing it I was mad because I do the same thing – I throw stuff into the cart without much rhyme or reason, hoping that a meal or two will come from it, and tons and tons of snack food. When the company leaves, we wind up with gobs of stuff that goes uneaten or stale.
Honestly, this is the lunch meat that is left over a week later. Yes, I can and should put it in the freezer like I did with one of the three loaves of bread – which I pulled out for the photo shoot and apparently never used a twist-tie.
Dang it.

When I’ve had family guests, Beth has been kind enough to suggest shopping lists of favorite snacks and drinks.
And of course I don’t cook for them… We’re too busy going to my favorite food places. Mmm… food places…
Lauren says
That’s what we ended up doing, too, which is great!
Brad says
I just noticed the picture of all those meat packages wasn’t taken at the grocery store… it was taken in your kitchen. Ha!
Those Budding meats make great low-calorie snacks. One whole package is like 60 calories or something. I used to buy them all the time.
Beth says
Heh. I always call it “Budding”, too. Just recently I noticed. It’s not.
Brad says
You just blew my mind.
It’s like one of those movies where you think you’re seeing something the whole time, but really you’re seeing something else. What else am I doing that with? Am I actually Chinese and I just never noticed?
Peggy says
We didn’t want to say anything.
I’ve never heard of this Budding/Buddig lunchmeat (I read it as Budding in the picture--I had to scroll back up & look). Is it only sold in the midwest? I like snack bags that are only 60 calories.
Lloyd says
I’m sure that they have a full day’s supply of Sodium.
Kristi says
It’s always been Budding. That picture has been photo-shopped; I’m sure it has.
Jill says
This has nothing to do with lunch meat, but it has everything to do with gummy bears. Enjoy!
