I’m sure I’m not the only one to have come up with this, but it’s still fun.
Long ago, Lloyd and I bought a bunch of rare earth magnets for a badly-run prank. We had read about how you use 3v button batteries, magnets and LED lights to make these lights you can throw at steel buildings or whatever and make it beautiful. Well, we made up a bunch and headed to Concordia to stealthily wow the kiddos!
We had plans to stick them on the ‘Jesus Frees Us’ statue in the middle of campus, then sit back and watch the reactions. Well, it turns out that the statue is the wrong kind of metal. What else could be used? What…… else…..?
Yeah. It was super lame. We left them there for a while but nobody walked by. We moved them to a secondary location but there was a big event on campus that everybody was attending, so it was super-super-super lame. We got tired of our spy stakeout after half an hour and gave up. We picked up the lights after church the next day.
Anyway, I have all these magnets sitting around the house. This seems like a good use for them.
Whew. That story was too long.
