The commune community from the days of yore is (mostly) assembled! The Gebhardts and Brad assembled in our home today with Curt and the Pesters (sounds like a band) for some visiting and, of course, a game of Settlers.
Deborah and I watched the Real Housewives of New Jersey while the game went on (and on and on and on). I’m a little sorry introduced her to my trashy guilty pleasure – it has no redeeming value whatsoever. I don’t know why that show is so appealing to me. Maybe because I love the drama and can’t believe how people talk do harshly and brashly to each other’s faces. Those wives are not very passive-aggressive, which is my default setting.
Later Marie came over! It was a festival! (Then I putzed out and went to bed. That’s me – party pooper.)
Kristi says
Oh, I miss you guys. I don’t miss the Settlers, but I miss you!
And, Charles, what is Polygamy Porter?
Lloyd says
Charles brought a sampler pack from Polygamy Brewing Company with him. You’ll have to try some over the 4th.
Lauren says
The funny part is the front of his shirt. It says, “I’ve tried Polygamy.”
Peggy says
Dang….it’s like the Carnival has pulled into town there in Seward! What fun!!
My summer’s looking pretty grim. Here’s what my best friend said to me just this past weekend:

Your homemade strawberry lemonade was delicious. And I was glad it was there, so I wouldn’t have to drink pine-tree-flavored gin and tonic.
