The post where I try not to say ‘underwear’.

Journal

I can’t decide what is worse, just talking about our underwear (TMI) or trying to talk as if there is no underwear in our house.

Wait.

Now I know what is worse. *jibblie*

This post is really about socks. Pre-Bat-Bug Disaster, we used to store our socks and ….. underwhere (problem solved) all un-kempt-like in our drawers, and we had gobs and gobs of socks and …… underware all thrown together.

After the bat bugs we threw out most of our belongings, and kept the few clothes that we were using in containers. (Just for the poison-the-bugs portion of the nightmare.) Well, it turns out that I am a die-hard fan of folding things up and making that little tub all neat & tidy.

I call them The Bentos, after the Japanese lunchbox thing.

Last weekend I went so far as to cut up a beverage box to turn into a sock divider.

Ginger beer. Ginger ale's ugly sister.

Three brown, two tan, two black, and two unrecognizable-color-because-they're-so-fuzzy.

Hmmmm… is this how OCD begins?

It’s like some kind of novelty item from a souvenir shop! You should roll up ALL of your clothes and stuff them into cardboard beer boxes. Getting dressed each morning would be like opening presents from someone who had been to some place where they drink a lot of beer. Milwaukee? Denver? Germany?

Oh, Lauren, you make me soooooo happy! You might be joining the club -- undiagnosed OCD. Beth -- shall we get her the membership card? http://bethtastic.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/Christmas-gifts-2010-1.jpg

Your super neat bins make me tingling & makes me feel guilty. My clean laundry is usually piled on my pool table. It’s neatly piled, but it’s not a piece of art like your bins.

Also, I haven’t starting wearing socks again yet. I’m still wearing sandals & flip-flops every day.

Did she blur out our underwater? That’s just strange.
