Hey, I found a use for those little Tupperware things! (I tried the hot-water trick to get them to close, and it has worked a bit. I think they might need another run-through before they’re right, though.)
I don’t know what has come over me, but I have been craving dessert at the end of a meal. I’ve never been a big fan of desserts, but lately when I’m done eating supper my stomach screams, “CAKE! Get some cake in here or we will kill you from the inside!” (I think it’s in cahoots with my intestines.)
I’ve tried eating a Starburst or two, but that just isn’t cutting it. I needed something chocolate-y, and aside from a slice of chocolate cake, chocolate pie is pretty great.
I tried making up a thing of chocolate pudding a couple of weeks ago and dolling it out into those wonderful little graham cracker crusts – one each night – but after three days the pudding in the bowl got a little gross.
Tupperware to the rescue!
I measured the bag of pudding mix, then divided by six. Then I asked Lloyd to check my math, so we would have less fist-shaking around here.
Hey! 30 grams is the same as 30ml, and there is a handy little line inside these cups. Awesome. I divided the bag amongst the cups, then struggled to put the lids on.
So, mix up one of these with a half cup of milk and put it in the fridge. In five minutes, I am ready for fresh chocolate pie!
So that’s that. I’m good for pie until next Monday.
In other news, I have lost one of those terrible-fitting lids. Have you seen it?

Ooh, I love a graham cracker crust too! Here’s an easy treat: put a graham cracker crust in the bottom of a 9x13, then prep a brownie mix and put it on top. Bake as usual -- delish!!

We top that with with mini marshmallows and then bake a few more minutes: s’mores!

Interesting. And to mix things up, perhaps you could make all different kinds of seasonal pies. ‘Tis the season for mincemeat. Pass the suet! Mmm…

I forgot to say “Happy Birthday” to my brother, Mark!
Also, if I mixed up pudding powder with powdered milk, wouldn’t I be able to just add water and have pudding? Then I could have chocolate pie in the middle of a blizzard, or a zombie attack.

You are craving dessert because your body needs a good layer of fat because it is stinking COLD!

This is a MARVELOUS idea Lauren! I must do it. But I’ll have to put my dry pudding in little baggies & hope bugs don’t get in. And then I’ll top the little pie with Cool wHip! Oh yea!!
And Gretchen…I have the stuff to make your suggestion right now….I can’t wait to get home to try it. Come on 4:30pm!
