My kids are singing at church Saturday night, and I’ve put together a little coloring book for them to have when they go back to sit with their parents, and I wanted to include some crayons. We have some at school, but not enough, so I bought some at the dollar store.
Do you know what is completely satisfying? Sorting crayons by color – not the banner picture way, just by lumping them together in bowls.
It’s very therapeutic. I’ve also learned that there are many variations of all the colors – except for yellow. If you are trying to get crayon groupings that include one of each color, then after group three you are going to have to content yourself with believing that light orange will do, and after three of those, go with light green.
The kids won’t care, right? The best part of being a preschooler is coloring a candle flame blue and an Advent wreath purple and not having anyone hassle you about it.
