We don’t normally do that sort of thing here, but (a) I just read that any money given to the Electronic Freedom Foundation for the next 34 (give or take) hours will be matched 3 for 1 and (b) Lauren isn’t home yet, so I can write any sort of post I want.
The EFF is a great organization, and if you use the Internet (which you do) and you’re not in China (which you are not) then you owe them already. Read about some of the legal cases that they have won, and tell me you don’t think the world is a better place because of what they are doing. If you can’t donate a lot, then donate a little to let them know you appreciate what they do.

Yikes! Those cases are weird. These happened in America, right? I’m surprised they even had to go to court. I see Boingboing posting about EFF sometimes, but I’ve never read about them. Getting my wallet…

I clicked on the link, and I can’t decide if I’m happy that those are real people taking a stand for justice, or sad that it’s not a fake site Lloyd created that actually funnels your ‘donations’ to our bank account.
