Hello, new one-day hobby.

Hello, new one-day hobby.

Journal

Every so often I toy with the idea of painting. Not just walls – actual pictures. A couple of months ago I even daydreamed about turning the downstairs guest bedroom into a studio – you know, take out the beds, put in a giant table filled with art supplies and good lighting. I’d work intently on my latest masterpiece, ignoring the mug of tea cooling on the table because I’d be so engrossed in creating my art.

Except, that, um – I’d need to be able to paint. Oh, and I’d have to disconnect the internet from my house. The internet is really holding me back from fulfilling my dreams. (and finishing the laundry.)

Oh, the beret. Berets are key.

Small steps. Small steps.

I was trying to work out shading. I've got some pit stains.

The fact that you are painting with your left hand shows that you’re up for a good challenge. Keep painting, Picasso.

(and maybe throw in just one Peggy swimming with the dolphins if you get bored)

(and at least your pit stains aren’t red)
