I lost some mail the other day, and I’m glad the wind didn’t blow it away. I went out to the car to go to a meeting and this postcard was on the doorstep. Lloyd’s family reunion is coming up next month, and it was our annual reminder of what to bring for the big lunch down by the dock.
I have to confess, it took me some time to figure out the ranch dressing situation. 21 grams? That’s fairly tiny, isn’t it? Maybe it’s not, because there’s no way to know, since it’s metric.
Side note: I actually googled ‘how much is 21 grams?” and it turns out that there was a movie made in 2003 called ’21 grams’. It’s premise is that everyone loses 21 grams when they die, so that’s the weight of the soul. Man, oh, man, I hope I die on a scale! (A very, very accurate scale.)
Brad says
A lot of people come to that reunion. Are you sure it’s not 21 gallons?
Deborah says
That’s what I was thinking. 21 gallons. Kids drink that stuff.
Brady G. says
i am thinking 2 large bottles (although large is a relative term). Perhaps someone else is also bringing 2 medium bottles.
Peggy says
D’oh! Of course! (I was thinking gallon too)
And I wonder why the requester specified the amt. of Ranch Dressing but not the amount of beer for Debbie? Maybe beer for Debbie was on everyone’s list.
Lloyd says
It doesn’t matter how much beer we bring for Debbie. She will drink it. Here’s the family if you want to estimate the amount of dressing needed. Well, that’s a good portion of us anyway.
Peggy says
Wow!! I’d go with the 21 gallons!
(I think it’s just wonderful to have such a big family too!)
