Cousin Sam, Cousin Rachel, Cousin Anna and Cousin Gracen have arrived in Seward! They had a hard time getting here – Gracen has an ear infection and we had a hard time getting him some medicine, and their van’s fuel pump is a little wonky and we tried to find a place that could replace it if needed. (We’re ok now.)
Tomorrow will be a busy day – we’ll tell you about it later. What are you going to do with your 4th?
Lauren's dad says
I watered Mom’s deck flowers and house plants, except one or two already.
Lauren says
…. and got a little rest, hopefully. 🙂

There sure are a lot of Sommerers in this house now.
I’m spending the Fourth of July in Seward! Woo hoo!
Peggy says
Well, nothing can compare to the 4th in Seward!
I’ll be eating burgers & watermelon, watching the boat load of fireworks Matt bought, maybe catch a movie, maybe go to real fireworks depending on how hot it is.
Or I may just lock myself in my room with the air-conditioning & fan blaring all day. It’s still a burning inferno here in MD.

We’re trying to keep cool. Our AC is busted so we’re currently drifting from store to store trying not to buy anything. Furniture stores are the most comfortable, but I’m afraid we’ll end up with 4 new couches and 15 new recliners if we spend too much time in them. 🙂

I’m actually in the States for the 4th! I was excited to have an all-American celebration but in the end I spent the day shopping with my mom. Guess that is a pretty American pastime (we even ate lunch at Panera and had afternoon coffee at Starbucks.)
