I have really been trying to get my money’s worth out of my iPad at school. (Before I inevitably drop it, that is.)
* I take pictures of the children working then we do a little reviewing at the end of the morning.
* When Ethan brought in some cicada shells I pulled up a video of one molting, which was wonderfully gross.
* E-mailing a photo to a child’s parents is crazy easy.
* And outside – I balanced it on the fence so the kids could dance to some music.
I admit that this is very, very, very, very, very stupid. One fall and that thing is a goner. However, I felt that it was pretty stable without the yarn, and then I added yarn, for crying out loud. It couldn’t be more less likely to fall than if I had glued it down. Right?
Right?
Lloyd said that it looks like it’s one playground ball away from an insurance claim. Silly boy, the balls have to stay in the ball area. You can’t kick a ball out of the ball area or else you’ll get excused. (And have to give Mrs. Sommerer 600 bucks for a new iPad.)
Oh, well – it made the dancers happy, and it didn’t fall.
This time.

If you don’t trust the yarn, you could always add duct tape. Duct tape and two-by-fours will fix anything.

And if you’re just slightly worried that a stray ball may come flying its way…..cover it with bubble wrap. Then you’ll be set for anything a playground can deliver. And hopefully play time won’t be over.

Ooo, I like the idea of a bubble wrap sleeve. You could hang it with some yarn, and if someone throws something, the swinging motion will absorb the destructive impact rays….
