We arrived late to the auction in Omaha on Saturday, and most of the inside stuff had already been sold. Lloyd was sad to have missed out on some of the office furniture, but I scored an x-ray light for school. My old one broke just a month ago, so this worked our great. We use it for a light table.
They shut down the first part of the auction and took a little break before they sold all the cars, ambulances, loaders, and fire trucks. Yes, it was that kind of auction. We didn’t stay for the vehicles, but we did nose around the fire trucks. I lamented that we didn’t have the money, space or correct driver’s license to buy one and put it on my playground. Wouldn’t that be fantastic!?!?!
When I was in elementary school one of our favorite ‘toys’ was an ancient tractor bolted to a concrete pad. We would drive, fix the engine with sticks and gravel, and balance on the tires. If only I could have the fire engine…..
Heck, who needs the playground? I could just park it in my yard!

I wonder if a person could buy an ambulance and then drive it with the lights and sirens blazing. Then you’d never have to wait at a red light again.

How much was the fire truck? That would have been awesome to have at your school or in your driveway!
Peggy says
PS. My husband has his license to drive fire trucks, and hook & ladders. And even tanks. So if you ever buy one, we’ll be right out.
Deborah says
Buy it! Then Peggy has to come visit!
