Friday afternoon I had made my mind up that Saturday was going to be a productive day. Saturday is usually reserved for staying in my pajamas until noon, or taking Lloyd to an auction and then dorking around Lincoln.
Not this Saturday though. This time, I had a list! To bore you silly, I will tell you all the things I accomplished on Saturday because I am so very, very proud of myself. Please keep in mind that on a normal Saturday I would be amazed if I got two of these things done.
Coffee made. Consumed throughout the morning.
Laundry done. All of it.
Bank called to fix minor problem. Money not lost! Whew.
Vet appointment made to remove stitches from Ralph’s eye. It’s on Thursday.
Piecrust made, but badly. Another story for another time.
Downstairs bathroom cleaned after one of our yard boys used the toilet and forgot to put the lid down. (Sarge likes water, y’know, and when I reached down to pet him I wondered,”Why is he wet? Noooo!”) Much laughter ensued.
Package taken to church.
Gas put in truck.
Giant box taken to recycling.
Panorama view of the square taken for Peggy. (It’s not great, and I’ll have to re-do it.)
Trip to Lincoln – light bulbs purchased at Menard’s, food purchased at Sam’s, clamps purchased at Harbor freight. No 3-D picture.
Back home – Lunch eaten, nap attempted.
Nap failure due to drinking entire pot of coffee.
Small apple pie made. Not too bad, even though crust was wonky.
Light bulbs (from Menards) changed at the Center.
Cookie dough made for Tuesday’s Family Night event hosted by the CDC this week.
Disgusting cat mess upstairs bathroom cleaned. *jibblie*
Delicious dinner with the Gebharts.
10 pounds of hamburger cooked, packaged and chilled for Family Night.
4 pounds of hamburger divided up for home use.
Whew! Sunday better have a big nap in store.

I love days like that. Such accomplishment. Such satisfaction.
Is that cat litter on the toilet?
Lauren says
Yes, it was wet, so it was laminated on the toilet as well as the floor around it. It was sooooooooooo messy, but I laughed the whole time.
The upstairs cat mess was different. And not funny. At. All.
Kristi says
After reading all of that, I need a nap.
I spent my entire Saturday (from 9am -- 11pm) on the sofa, watching high school volleyball championships. That never happens around here. It was glorious.
Lauren says
Ehhhhxcellent!

Wow! Thanks Lauren for the panoramic of the square! You’re the best. And the square is so quiant…I just knew it would be. Loved looking around.
And it’s been a long time since I’ve had one of those great productive days. Way to go!! And you definately deserve a no work Sunday. Enjoy!

No one has commented on the disturbing decapitation. So I will. It is disturbing.

LOL, Deb!
