The cats like to make trouble in the night, and when I woke up this morning my glasses weren’t on my nightstand. That is a problem for a blind lady who isn’t very tidy. After looking for a while I asked Lloyd for help. He grabbed at something under a shelf, but it wasn’t my glasses, it was my harmonica.
“Awesome!” I cheered, and proceeded to play, “oh, Susannah”‘ the only song I know, but blindly.
Later in the day as I was mindlessly watching t.v. on the computer, I was fiddling with the harmonica and wondered what the inside looked like. I bet you do, too.
Huh. I was not expecting that to be in there.
The reeds are so little!
Lloyd started to groan about my taking stuff apart, but then he realized that “Oh, Susannah” wasn’t playing, so he got real quiet-like.
How was your Black Friday?
And an update for Peggy:
Brad says
The big question is: Did you get it back together and it still worked?
Lauren says
“Oh, Susannah, now don’t you cry for me!
For I come from Alabama with a banjo on my knee!“
Peggy says
How about a little hearing of Oh Susannah?
I usually don’t go out on Black Friday, but I did yesterday….a little later in the day too. Then I got on a roll….and got quite a few things.
Lauren says
Challenge accepted. See above.
