Nobody’s going to check this anymore today, so I’ll be brief. I spent 30 of the past 36 hours asleep. The dumb cold has lingered on and turned into a cough that stops when I sleep sitting up, so that’s the option I took. What am I going to to do when I go back to work tomorrow? “Sorry, kids, but it’s 10:30 and that’s about all I can do for today. Wake me when your parents show up.”
Lloyd, Samith and Stephannie have planned for a week to go see The Hobbit today, and I’m still waffling if I’ll go. I don’t feel as awful as yesterday, but who knows? If I go and start coughing, I’ll just go sit in an empty theater. Another expensive nap for me.
Bleh.

Ha! I am checking it!
Can you get a substitute to teach for you tomorrow?
In the meantime, drink lots of liquids, -- tea, water (not coffee -- it dehydrates you).
I remember telling my class that I couldn’t talk, only whisper. They started whispering, too. It was great.

I’m not that sick (to need a sub), but thanks. 🙂 The cough doesn’t seem to be as persistent today, and that’s the main thing. I’ll be fine.

The Hobbit was fun! Get some rest.
Brad says
Uh oh. I’ve heard that whatever you do on New Year’s Day sets the tone for the whole year.
…or maybe this means you’re just getting a sick day out of the way and you’ll be less sick for the rest of the year.
The Hobbit is a good movie.

Glad you’re feeling better! I hope you continue to get well!
And I hope you get to see the hobbitses today. It’s a long movie so it’s good that you’ve had plenty of rest. But most excellent!
