Deborah called last night and asked if she and Bethany could come over because Bethany wanted to bring a picture she made for me.
Side note: Think ill of me all you want, but Bethany is my goddaughter and Brittney is my niece, and Every Single Time I write their names, I worry that I’m doing it wrong. Even now as I type this, I’m thinking, “Is it ‘any’ or ‘ney’?” People with decent spelling skills don’t have this kind of trouble.
Anyway, the girls came over after supper and Bethany handed me this:
I freaked out! “What the what?!?!” This was far beyond what I was expecting – pencil sketching of kittens and foliage?? (You might want to remember my own drawing skills for comparison purposes.)
Deborah recognized the shock and was quick to say, “She colored it for you. Colored it.”
Whew. I am grateful for that, because otherwise I would be obligated as Godmother to put that girl through art school.
Still might.
Deborah says
Hmmm. . . art school.
Peggy says
That picture is awesome!! Way to go Bethany!
Peggy says
I have a confession. I still color.
Deborah says
It’s very theraputic.
Brad says
Aww… kittens…
Kristi says
Excellent coloring skills! Buy that girl some good art supplies, Godmother!
