Going along with the handful of sites that I cycle through over and over because I can’t seem to have an original thought of my own, here is the next installment: Food stuff.
Smitten Kitchen She has great pictures and writes well, and I have swiped a couple of recipes from her. Plus, she started out in a very tiny kitchen, which is a topic near and dear to my tiny-loving heart.
Pioneer Woman She has honest pictures and writes hilariously. Her website is chock-full of stuff, like the ‘Confessions’ section where she writes about ranch life.
Food in Jars Marisa is a canning goddess, and while I’ll never actually can anything myself, her documentation of the process is wonderful.

Dang, I don’t visit any sites regularly except this one & Brad’s. I guess I should get more on board with the 21st century huh? Mmmm….the Pioneer woman had excellent pictures of a chicken bacon sandwich. My mouth waters!
Last night though I spent a good amount of time looking up all the Brady kids to see what they’re doing now. Can you believe little Bobby Brady is 52 years old!
Brad says
It looks like those people enjoy cooking. I would enjoy eating any of that stuff they talk about.
Lauren's mom says
I was reading a Family Circle magazine and saw your little pies-in-a-jar. I really think you started it!
Lauren says
It’s my tiny brush with fame. 🙂 It was when Megan from notmartha.org saw that post, made even cuter pies and spread the word that it got so popular. I’m like the jar pie godmother.
Marisa says
Lauren, your pies in jars was how I originally discovered you! And I’m so honored to be on your short list of food blogs to which you return. Thanks so much! 🙂
Lauren says
Thanks, Marisa! Keep on doing your great work -- it’s been fun to follow you. 🙂
