Many long years* ago,
A baby was born in the snow.**
But then that Brad guy-ee,
He moved to Hawaii
Where palm trees and centipedes*** grow.
Happy Birthday, Brad!
Sooooooo…. ‘One Click Ordering’ on Amazon.com, or as I like to call it- ‘One Click Mistake’, has been a problem for me. Last week I was pretending to live Brad’s life and I looked at inflatable furniture and a pump. Like a moron I clicked one click ordering and OOPS – that was it. I frantically went through the cancellation process, but didn’t realize that since they split the order I only cancelled the chair, not the pump.
Dang it.
* ‘Long years’ is not a scientific term. All years, with the exception of leap years, are 365 days long.
** Brad was not born in the snow.
*** Centipedes do not ‘grow’ in Hawaii, they spring fully-formed from coconuts.
Solid fact.

That chair is awesome! I think maybe you should have kept it. You can always use an extra seat.
Happy birthday Brad, what a great day it will be,
How awesome to celebrate so close to the sea,
May your day be happy & cheerful-- without any woes,
And may those dang centipedes not eat all your toes.

We still have the pump that you gifted us at our wedding. Yes, we do.

She really is the worst gifter, isn’t she?
Brad says
You could always keep the pump and get yourself a wacky waving inflatable arm flaling tube man:

So Amazon’s plot is working! I recently read how 1-click ordering is designed to be as fast as possible (they work to shave seconds off of the ordering time) so that the power of the impulse buy is harnessed without giving customers the opportunity of a second thought. [insert maniacal laugh here.]
