There is a little pink house over by our veterinarian that is so little and cute. (‘Cute’ in a rundown kind of way. Mostly it’s just little.)
It is for sale. $29,000 for sale. “Not completely beyond the realm of possibility” for sale!
I have become firmly entrenched in La La Land regarding it. It is 800 square feet, and the room dimensions are listed on the realtor’s website, but there are no interior photos! I’ve had to console myself with wiping the dust off the windows on my three visits to this place.
I can’t see in every window, so I’ve been trying to piece together the layout. The living room is pretty self-explanatory.
But the question that haunts me – where is the bathroom??? Is it this room just off the kitchen? That would make sense due to the plumbing and the window (that is frosted and I can’t see into), but I think this is the 5 by 5 laundry room.
Is it this windowless closet in the bedroom?
Great. I’m going to have to call a realtor just to settle my curiosity, and will buy this money pit out of politeness. Somebody talk me down.

So cute! But are you sure it’s tall enough to fit regular sized people? It looks more hobbit size.
(Psst…Lloyd. Valentine’s Day is coming up & well, the house is pink. Get the picture boy?)

You could become land barons and by collecting rent could invest in (spend on) more properties. By paying more taxes you could be helping the economy?
Brad says
The payments on that place would be less than $400 per month. That’s the same thing as buying a Starbucks coffee every day. I know! You should buy the place and turn it into a Starbucks!
Brad says
What do you think that giant contraption next to the door in the living room is?
Peggy says
Are you referring to the dance pole?
Mark says
To answer Brad’s question, I think that thing is an electric heater. The building is too small to have a furnace.
Lauren, do you big brother a favor and watch several episodes of “Property Wars” on the Discovery Channel. Then think about what you may be getting yourself into. I personally think you’d be better off buying a lot and building a teeny tiny house from scratch.
Lauren says
Yep, it is a heater. There is a similar one in the bedroom.
Never fear, Mark -- I know myself too well to actually buy a house and do anything to it. This house has enough that needs to be done, but I am so proficient at procrastinating and developing blind spots that it’s going to collapse before I get around to it. 😉
….but Property Wars sounds pretty interesting…. mmm….television….
