One of the things about this site is that while it’s a great way to look into our past and see what was going on, it’s not really an accurate depiction of what we’re doing. Long ago I realized that I can’t complain on this thing or it would spiral into a vortex of self-pity that no one would want to read. (Or maybe they would? People look at train wrecks, right?)
So, since I have nothing mildly amusing to post about tonight, here’s a slice of what else is happening in our lives so I can look back on it in years and remember.
Ummmmm…….
The doors in the house are still acting weird. It’s still cold (today was an unexpected snow day after several springy days) so the house is leaning funny. If I remember correctly, that will fix itself after the spring thaw.
Lloyd and I are on the building committee at church. Meetings have started up again and this summer work will begin in the narthex, sanctuary, and new music room and nursery. (Photos will be posted as that begins and continues.) We might possibly get the green-light soon to begin work on the new CDC, so Lloyd and I have been pinning inspirational ideas on Pinterest. (Lloyd admits that he is the one guy on Pinterest.)
My school is having its renewal year for accreditation, so my after-classroom work is dedicated partly to that, partly to the other stuff that sucks time.
I am on day three of taking a multivitamin because Uncle Si on Duck Dynasty said that when he was in Vietnam they got shots of B12 and that energized them more than coffee. My mom gets B12 shots, so I figure it can’t hurt.
I continue to need quiet time to reboot.
There was a little trouble regarding last year’s taxes. (Future post and cliffhanger.)
We (meaning Lloyd) have not yet done this year’s taxes.
This computer is puttering out. Lloyd says I need a new one, but I have insisted that we have no money for that. He might be right.
We need a new air conditioner. It died last year, remember?
Cousin Sam has a call to serve at St. John. We don’t know yet what his decision is.
Ok, that’s all.
Oh wait, physical ailments for future doctor visits: wrist still hurts a bit, but not badly. Sternum pops painfully when I sneeze. (Note: Stop sneezing or buy allergy medicine.)
Ok, that’s really all.
