Critical Error!!

I am a complete and utter moron.

Backstory: In past preschool years I have taken photos of the children, downloaded them into this computer, then made a memory movie to send home with them. This year, though, most of my photos are on the iPad, so a DVD is not possible. At parent-teacher conferences I explained the situation to parents, and said that this year I could upload their child’s photos to Flickr (and they could print them if they liked) and also make a private YouTube movie.

Why did I say that?? I don’t anything about Flickr. (It’s the only option on my iPad that looks feasible.)

The panic is coming from the fact that tonight I’d better figure out how to do those things for Molli, since she is moving to Kansas and her last day is next Tuesday. As I started to figure out how to use Flickr and also how to load an iPhoto ‘albums’ into the iMovie app (several dumb steps), I realized that I only have two weeks of preschool left (how did that happen?) and 26 other children’s projects to do after Molli’s!!

Gahh!!! It has taken me well over an hour and a half to do Molli’s stuff, and it’s still not done! Granted, most of the time is sitting around waiting for things to load, but still! There are not enough days to get this done if it is going to take two hours a kid.

I am a moron.

Ok, the next part is loaded. On to the next thing. See ya.

Oh my gosh….that is a brilliant idea Lauren!! The kids & parents are going to LOVE that! A moron you are not!!

Would it be against protocal to show us one of the movies?

May I suggest enlisting the help of your other half & his iPad.

(when you’re thru with your students, how about making one for all your commenters…..you’ll be such a pro by then, it won’t take you any time at all. 😉 )

One of the things I didn’t like about Apple computers was that you couldn’t stick a flash drive into them. How were you supposed to ever move any files? Now I suppose you can use online storage sites like Dropbox and such.

I, too, am accomplished in letting things pile up to the last minute. Is that an aspect of oppositional?
