Sam and Rachel & Co. went back home yesterday, so it was a regular Friday night of collapsing exhaustion. I won’t go into the details or you’ll think that’s all I ever do. It’s not – it’s just all I ever want to do.
I don’t know what else to write about. How about cheap soda / pop? When the vounteers at church moved those pews a couple of weeks ago, we were about half an hour into it and I looked at all those sweating guys and thought, “Lloyd would have made sure we had beverages here to thank them.” I tore off in my truck to the nearest grocery store where they had store-brand pop on sale. I grabbed a bunch of 12-packs and some ice and got it all set up. Afterward I brought it home to save for the next pew=moving, but instead I’m just drinking it. (I know where they sell more when it’s needed.)
The flavors I grabbed and their flavor profile are:
Cola – ok. It ain’t Pepsi.
Diet Cola – I will never know, because diet drinks are disgusting.
Lemon Lime – good.
Mountain Drops – I don’t know. Not a big Mountain Dew fan. Can I get sued for mentioning these brands together?
Grape – I haven’t had it, but I assume it is grapey.
Orange – It is SUPER orangey. Almost like syrup.
Pink Lemonade – It had a faint petroleum flavor.
That is all. I can’t do anything more on an early Saturday. I need some coffee…..

The only off brand of soda I will get is orange. I like orange & the Weiss brand is just fine.
And Lauren, I used to be a fanatic about my house. Spit spot. I don’t know what has happened to me. I wish I was half the person I used to be.

I haven’t tried store brand soda in a while. I did just recently get some store brand Cocoa Puffs. They were inedible. I stopped after the second bite and threw away the entire bag. Yuck.

Lemon Lime doesn’t ever seem to change its flavor, no matter the brand. I buy that one frequently enough for punch and such.
