I’m sure that lots of places have something like this on Facebook: a local swap thing kind of like Craigslist. I was unaware of it, though. Apparently it’s a ‘members only’ kind of thing, but one of my co-workers invited me so now I can see what everybody is in search of (ISO) or selling, it’s like an ongoing yard sale.
For the most part it’s pretty normal – clothing, toys for kids, a dog that needs an outdoor home, knickknacks – but today I saw the worst/best ever.

Hmm… I don’t think I’d be very good at a barter system. I’m not so good at it. I’d always end up trading down. “If I give you this laptop, you’ll give me a pack of gum? Done!”

Cool! A spin-off of the trading posts in pioneer days! I wish they still had those. But I’d be like Brad….I’m sure I’d always get short handed.
So now I’m thinking about Charles Ingalls. I’ll give you Amazon the apple on my desk, 3 coffee pods & a gourd for this CD. ( I challenge ‘ya all to listen to Polly Put the Kettle On and not stand up where ever you are and start clogging.)
