We spent most of the day over at Sam and Rachel’s house. My Mom and Dad were up for the weekend along with Aunt Lolly and Uncle Ralph (Sam’e mom and dad).
There was a huge rubbermaid box of Lincoln Logs. So after taking a comprehensive inventory of the type and quantity of pieces available (broken down by broken and unbroken pieces as well), we each drew some floor plans and decided on which one to build. I was honored that my design was chosen, but I don’t know if it was actually considered superior or if they were just being nice to a guest.
I left right before it was time to cleanup.

Did they smell like Lincoln Logs? The memory of that smell comes instantly to my remembrance.
Lloyd says
The round, normal colored ones did. The newer, yellower ones didn’t really.

Don’t worry Lloyd, clean up hasn’t happened. We’ll wait til you can join us. 🙂 Actually the room is still blocked off so the dog can’t get in an wreck anything. Monster dogs can do lots of damage to small unsuspecting log communities.
Peggy says
Hehe….logs. The 6 degrees of my brain strikes again.

Lauren, do you think you could get enough Lincoln Logs to build a little house in your backyard….that people could fit in? With a little open fire stove & a table that turns into a bed?
Curt says
Very cool. I like the catwalks.
Jane Sommerer says
The buildings were impressive but the size of the box holding the lincoln logs was something else. It wasn’t a little box. I wonder how long it took to fill it.
Gretchen says
Next let’s see you make a village out of all those Legos. And I do mean ALL.
Lloyd says
You don’t know what you’re asking.
